HealthCARE Imaging service CT Scans

CT Scans

While a conventional x-ray will show your bones and subtle outlines of other organs, CT images will reveal the bones and organs with a high degree of precision. A conventional x-ray uses a stationary machine to focus beams of radiation on a specific part of your body, while a CT uses an x-ray generating device that rotates around your body and a powerful computer to create cross-sectional images (slices) of the inside of your body.

HealthCARE Imaging service MRI

MRI

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) generates images of the body without using radiation. An MRI is a diagnostic procedure that uses a large magnet, radio frequency pulses, and a computer to produce detailed images of organs and structures within the body. There are no known harmful effects from the magnetic field, or exposure to radio waves, associated with creating MRI images.

HealthCARE Imaging service Ultrasound

Ultrasound

An ultrasound is excellent for evaluating many specific areas of the body, and is especially effective for examining body cavities like the abdomen. The ultrasound scanner consists of a console, which contains a computer video display screen, and a small hand-held device called a transducer that is used to create the image. The transducer sends out a sound wave and then listens for the echo or return wave. Images are immediately visible on the video display screen.

HealthCARE Imaging service Brainscope One

Brainscope One

A brain injury needs to be treated promptly—but it’s often hard to detect. That’s why it’s important to get checked right away if you hurt your head. Until now, most people had to go to the Emergency Room and get a CT scan—a time-consuming, expensive, and often stressful experience. Fortunately, now there’s a better way.

HealthCARE Express now offers the BrainScope® One head injury assessment.
